CHULA VISTA — November 2, 2026. Chula Vista’s public waste service page says households and eligible businesses with cart service can arrange no-extra-charge pickup of up to ten bulky items weekly.
What the city includes
The list covers couches, mattresses, appliances, patio furniture, metal furniture and other qualifying large household items. The city also states a limit of 60 items in any 90-day period, with separate charges for additional or difficult-to-handle items.
How to book a pickup
Chula Vista instructs customers to call Republic Services at 619-421-9400 at least 24 hours before the regular collection day. Apartment and condo residents may need their property manager or homeowners association representative to coordinate a pickup.
Set-out rules and safety
Don’t leave unwanted furniture on a sidewalk without an approved appointment. Hazardous chemicals, trash bags and construction debris may not qualify under bulky-item rules. Check the specific item and any special handling charge before moving it outside.
