Chula Vista Trash Customers Can Request Two Landfill and Two Yard-Waste Passes Per Year

CHULA VISTA — November 2, 2026. Chula Vista offers eligible household cart-service customers two landfill passes and two yard-waste passes each calendar year, according to the city’s Special Services page.

What qualifies

The city says accounts must be in good standing. Passes are valid for 90 days after issuance and allow up to one ton per pass, with additional weight charged at the current landfill rate.

Where to obtain passes

Residents can contact Republic Services at 619-482-4024 to have passes mailed or visit 891 Energy Way. The city lists Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.–noon for the local office.

How to bring materials

Loads must be securely covered, and recyclable metals, wood, concrete and yard trimmings should be separated. The city notes hardhats are required in parts of the landfill, although not at the convenience center. Confirm current site access before leaving.
